"Jim" as he is known to friends and acquaintances is a native of Augusta, Georgia and a graduate of the University of Georgia. He received his law degree from the Birmingham School of Law, Birmingham, Alabama, and is a member of the Alabama State Bar as well as the Huntsville / Madison County Bar Association.

Mr. Holmes brings valuable experience gained through many years of private, general, civil practice and more than twenty years in business management. He is a certified mediator and has completed a curriculum in real estate appraisal approved and sponsored by the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers.
