New restaurants, bars and retail stores set to open in 2019 in Huntsville!  Exciting growth is ahead for Huntsville and our city's economy and it's no secret that Huntsville is on track to becoming the largest city in Alabama and the new restaurants, bars and retail stores will help Huntsville achieve it in 2019. While some argue Huntsville infrastructure cannot handle the influx of these retail spaces, the city is realizing the situation and is planning numerous road projects to accomodate the need for more roads.  Slated to open this year are 22 new businesses with more to be announced later this year. Brass Tap is an upscale craft beer bar, sports TV, live entertainment complex coming to Merchants Square at the corner of Memorial Parkway and Bob Wallace Ave. in early 2019.



Aloft is a Marriott Hotel being managed by Yedla Management of Huntsville and will be located at MidCity in University Drive in Huntsville. Set to open in late 2019.



Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa will be offering High quality massages at affordable prices is opening its doors at Merchants Square corner of Bob Wallace and Memorial Parkway in early 2019.


AC by Marriott will open a 150-unit boutique hotel in Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville in Spring 2019.


Chuy's Mexican Restaurant will open at Merchants Square corner of Bob Wallace and Memorial Parkway in early 2019.



The Gemini Kitchen + Cocktails is polished-casual, modern American restaurant designed to provide an affordable quality dining experience opening at City Centre at Big Spring in downtown Huntsville in early 2019.


Highpoint Climbing Gym a Chattanooga-based High Point Climbing and Fitness franchise will open at MidCity Huntsville in early 2019.



Duluth Trading Co. part of a 46 store franchise will open at Town Madison in 2019.


REI Equipment Co-op, a member-owned co-op offering top outdoor gear from major companies will open at MidCity in Huntsville in Fall 2019.



Pies and Pints a pizza and craft beer restaurant will open at MidCity Huntsville in summer 2019.



Wahlburgers will open a 4,000-square-foot restaurant with chef-inspired full-service restaurant with dining, full-service bar and takeout. Many of you know this chain from the TV show in which Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg own and run the original Wahlburgers in Hingham, MA. Slated to open in 2019 at MidCity in Huntsville.



Mazzara's serving fresh-made pasta and other traditional Italian food will open at Stovehouse on Governors Drive in Huntsville in March 2019.



Dave & Busters a well-known favorite in Atlanta and Nashville for many years is now opening up a franchise at MidCity in Huntsville in July 2019.



Melt, a Birmingham restaurant specializing in comfort food will open at The Avenue on Jefferson Street in downtown Huntsville in March 2019.



Von Braun Center Music Hall will open its new music venue in downtown Huntsville with a 1,200-capacity music hall for live music in Fall 2019.



The Moon Bakeshop will open at The Avenue on Jefferson Street in downtown Huntsville in early 2019 and will feature Southern classics baked goods with an Italian flair. 



Char Restaurant, a southern style steak restaurant, will open at Merchant's Square at the intersection of Bob Wallace Avenue and Memorial Parkway sometime in 2019.



Oh Crepe, traditional crepes with a Japanese flair will open at Stovehouse, an old stovehouse factory being renovated into an entertainment and dining space on Governor's Drive in Huntsville in Spring 2019.



Those of you who know 'I Love Sushi' in South Huntsville, will be excited to know the owner is opening up a new restaurant called Kamodo Ramen, a Japanes noodle bowl restaurant at Stovehouse, the old stove factory being turned into a food and entertainment venue on Governor's Drive in Huntsville in Spring 2019. 



CHOPCHOP Fresh Salads, a restaurant focused on serving fresh, seasonal salad bowls, will open its second location at Merchant's Square at the corner of Bob Wallace Avenue and University Drive in February 2019.



Pourhouse, a laid-back swanky bar will open at Stovehouse on Governors Drive in Huntsville in Spring 2019.
